Terms of use
Terms and conditions of use
The rules for using this website: access, customer area, catch log and published content.
Last updated October 31, 2026
Purpose
These terms and conditions of use (the “terms of use”) govern the use of the website domainedecieux.fr, published by PESCATOR, the company that operates Domaine de Cieux (full details in the legal notice).
Using the website constitutes acceptance of these terms of use. A booking is also subject to the terms and conditions of sale, which prevail in the event of any conflict.
Access to the website
The website is accessible free of charge to anyone with Internet access. Connection costs are borne by the user.
PESCATOR endeavours to keep the website available at all times but cannot guarantee it: the website may be interrupted for maintenance or updates, or in the event of a failure, without notice or compensation.
Before the official opening of the estate, the website may show only a waiting page. Early access is reserved for the estate’s guests, through a personal link sent by email, which must not be passed on to any third party.
Customer area
The customer area lets the customer follow their bookings, find the access code for the estate, view their gift cards, write to the estate and keep their catch log. It is opened with the email address used to book: the customer sets their password using the link received by email.
Login details are personal. The customer keeps their password secret and informs the estate without delay if they believe a third party has obtained it. Actions carried out from their customer area are deemed to have been carried out by them.
In the event of fraudulent use or use contrary to these terms of use, PESCATOR may suspend or close the customer area, without affecting current bookings. The customer may ask for their customer area to be deleted at any time, at contact@domainedecieux.fr.
Catch log
During their stay, the angler may record their catches in the lake’s catch log: species, weight, date and peg, plus a photo and a comment if they wish.
The catch log is public. Each catch appears with the angler’s first name and the initial of their surname. By publishing a catch, the angler agrees to it being displayed in this way. They may ask for it to be removed at any time, at contact@domainedecieux.fr.
The angler guarantees that what they enter is accurate and that they hold the rights to the photos they publish. A photo must not show another identifiable person without their consent.
The angler authorises PESCATOR, free of charge and on a non-exclusive basis, to display their catches and photos on the website for as long as the catch log is online. PESCATOR may hide, without notice, an inaccurate catch, an inappropriate photo or a comment contrary to these terms of use.
Messages and acceptable use
Messages sent to the estate from the customer area and comments in the catch log must remain courteous. Content that is abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, contrary to public order or that infringes the rights of others is prohibited, as is any form of advertising.
The user refrains from any action that disrupts the website: intrusion attempts, automated data collection, sending requests in bulk, or bypassing the queue or the booking limits.
Published information
Information on the website (description of the lake and the pegs, fishing distances, catches, statistics) is given for guidance only and may change. Photos and videos illustrate the estate and are not contractually binding.
Weather forecasts come from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway) and are provided without any guarantee.
The availability shown is updated in real time; a peg is booked only under the conditions set out in the terms of sale. The applicable price is the one displayed at the time of booking.
Intellectual property
The website and its content (texts, photographs, videos, maps, graphic elements, logo) are protected by intellectual property law. Their owners and the conditions under which they may be used are set out in the legal notice.
Any reproduction, representation or reuse, in whole or in part, without prior written authorisation is prohibited. Sharing a link to a page of the website remains free.
Links to other websites
The website links to third-party services: YouTube, mapping and navigation services, and the payment provider. PESCATOR has no control over these services and is not responsible for their content or their practices; their own terms apply.
Liability
PESCATOR cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from an interruption of the website, a malfunction of the user’s equipment or network, or use of the website contrary to these terms of use.
The user is responsible for the content they publish and for the use they make of the website. They are responsible for protecting their own equipment against viruses and other malicious software.
Personal data and cookies
How users’ personal data is processed is described in the privacy policy, and the use of cookies in the cookie policy.
Changes to the terms of use
PESCATOR may amend these terms of use, in particular to reflect changes to the website or to the regulations. The applicable version is the one online when the website is used; its date appears at the top of the page.
Governing law and language
These terms of use are governed by French law. They are written in French; in the event of any discrepancy with a translation, the French version prevails.
Any complaint must be sent to contact@domainedecieux.fr. Failing an amicable settlement, the dispute is brought before the competent court.
